Jorge Morales, Director of Business Development for Latin America and the Caribbean at Pariplay, granted an exclusive interview with Revista CASINO to talk about the company’s plans for the region.

At ICE London 2022, Pariplay made the decision to have dedicated meeting rooms instead of displaying products on a stand in order to have a more personal space to meet up with customers again and chat with old and new colleagues about their future plans. During the London show, Jorge Morales, Director of Business Development for Latin America and the Caribbean at Pariplay, granted an exclusive interview with Revista CASINO to talk about the company’s goals for the region.

After two years of virtual events and conferences, how does it feel to be back at a face-to-face gathering of such size as ICE London?

It’s an exciting time to be back in touch with everyone in a physical way. I already had the opportunity to be in Buenos Aires for SAGSE Latam and I must say that these experiences cannot be replaced with any virtual platform. It is always better to be able to say hello to all your friends, and for doing business, the face-to-face mode is much more effective and exciting.

Last November, you joined the company as Director of Business Development for Latin America and the Caribbean. What vision and plans does Pariplay have for the region?

The simple fact that Pariplay has opened a business development position for Latin America and the Caribbean shows the company’s commitment to the region. I personally feel very fortunate to be part of the great Pariplay family, which in turn is part of the Aspire Global group. Pariplay is growing tremendously as an aggregator helping local businesses to access different content, outside of what is normally known and also providing important technology.

What are the challenges and objectives that have been set for this new position?

The goal is to be the official aggregator for all of Latin America. As for challenges, there is the negotiation of content prices so that they adapt to the reality of the region and that they are attractive to local operators. That is a challenge, but companies understand it and they know that Latin America is not Europe, the United States or Asia, so we must configure it for the territory. Pariplay gives the operators the opportunity to negotiate directly, and we help him obtain the price they need.

In recent months, Chile, Peru and Brazil have made progress with the regulation of online gambling. What are the company’s expectations for these markets?

In Peru we already have access. We also hope that it will be regulated soon because it is a very important territory. Where there is regulation, we will be there. In Chile we are observing the situation, however, the focus at the moment is Argentina. Especially the city and province of Buenos Aires. There, we are analyzing agreements, registering the company and studying how to bill.

What are the main characteristics that differentiate Pariplay’s products from the competition?

Undoubtedly, the main reason is that our technology is first class. The Fusion product has a back-office in which different promotions can be configured and that helps the client by giving them CRM tools. In addition, our Ignite product features exclusive Pariplay content through the company’s own RGS. Additionally, our agility and 24/7 service allow us to move forward most of the time with more agility than if it were integrated directly.
